Eric has been a practicing attorney for over 24 years, focusing in the areas of health care transactions and finance, private investment in start-up enterprises and mergers and acquisitions. For the last 11 years, Eric has been co-owner of his own law firm with offices in Florida and New York City. Since moving to Florida in 2010, Eric has represented clients involved in every facet of the health care industry, including nursing homes, home health agencies, staffing companies and physician practices. As part of his active legal practice in Florida, several years ago Eric began serving as counsel and advisor to a substance abuse treatment center. As his client’s operations grew, Eric became more involved in the management of the center and eventually he joined the board of directors and became a minority owner.
Since becoming involved in the treatment industry, Eric has been impressed (if not overwhelmed) by the commitment shown by those who have chosen to make it their career and calling to help people who have likely reached the lowest point in their lives. With Paragon, Eric decided to step away from the law and commit himself 100% to the substance abuse treatment industry. As CEO, it is Eric’s goal for Paragon to live up to its definition and be a “model of excellence” both in how Paragon cares for its clients and as an example to other facilities as to how to conduct itself within the community. Eric and the entire Paragon team have already been working with community and civic leaders to find ways that Paragon can be an example for all.
